The Secrets of the Honigsberg Tango Klezmer Archives
Born of a jewish mother of Egyptian descent and a jewish father of Romanian descent is Alex’s good friend and anthropologist in formation from the University of São Paulo, Ernesto Mifano Honigsberg. As Alex and Ernesto, grew up and Alex’s musical fruitions came to rise Ernesto brought to Alex’s attention the story of his grandfather, a renowned romanian tango musician and conductor. This story has always peaked Parke’s interest, and his path settled into ethnomusicology, and given that in a dark backroom of his house Ernesto has 5 boxes full of newspaper articles, letters, books, foto albums, sheet music, and more, Alex recently approached Ernesto with a serious proposition: to work together on uncovering the secrets those boxes contain.
Along with amazing Pianist Caleb Carmen, Alex Parke plays the repertoire that was found in the archives.

Rushefsky Duo
The Rushefsky Duo, with Pete Rushefsy on Tsimbl and Alex Parke on Clarinet, started from a collaboration on Alex Parke’s senior recital at Bard College.
With great chemestry between the two Klezmorim the two intend to keep preforming authentic klezmer with in the most traditional of musical settings.

The Living Shtetl
Formed in 2019 by Alexander Parke, Caleb Carmen, and Yidao Ho The Living Shtetl has progressed through the years with a number of different members having as its leader myself.
Currently the Bard College based band is formed of myself on Clarinet, Jonah Roth on Mandolin, Caleb Carmen on Piano, and Goni Ronen on Tuba.
With the intention of sementing itself as a solid part of the New York klezmer community the band strives for authenticity, vibrant energy, and incredible music.

Klezmer Três Rios
Klezmer Três Rios is a São Paulo based Klezmer band. Formed of Alex Parke (clarinet) and Gabriel Neistein (classical guitar) and other on and off members, the band playes traditional Ashkeanzic music with Brazilian influences.
Folkloria
Folkloria is a duo comprised of Alexander Parke (Pifanos/Bamboo Flutes & Clarinet) and Jonah Roth (Mandolin). Roth specializes in American Folk and Jazz music whilst Parke specializes in Klezmer and Brazilian music. In an incredible mixture of sounds and energies, it is common to find the two strolling around the campus of Bard College (where they currently study) playing tunes and having tremendous fun.

Tigerdog Zebrafish
In the group Tigerdog Zebrafish, an eclectic group of musicians from a wide variety of backgrounds come together to make incredible music. Influences ranging from old-time Appalachian music, Jazz, Brazilian music, Klezmer, and more; this group will make your bones rattle and dance.
